Capt. Tony's Saloon

Capt. Tony's Saloon is where Key West's bar mythology was born — originally the site of the first Slocum's and later Ernest Hemingway's drinking spot of choice, this tiny venue carries more history per square foot than anywhere else on the island. The exposed-root bar tree and layers of business cards stapled to the walls tell the story better than any guidebook. Today it remains an authentic, dimly lit dive where the spirit of old Key West is very much alive.
