Old Bahia Honda Bridge Trail
The Old Bahia Honda Bridge Trail follows the remnants of one of the most ambitious engineering feats in Florida history — the original Overseas Railroad bridge at Bahia Honda, built in the early twentieth century. The old bridge, now repurposed as a pedestrian trail, offers stunning panoramic views over the turquoise waters of the Atlantic and Florida Bay from a vantage point few other places can match.
Bahia Honda State Park, where the trail is located, is consistently ranked among the most beautiful state parks in Florida. A walk across the old bridge gives you a perspective of the Keys that is both historically resonant and visually breathtaking.
