Arabian Oryx

The Arabian Oryx holds a remarkable place in conservation history — it was declared extinct in the wild in 1972, yet a captive breeding program brought it back from the brink. Today the species lives once again in the wild thanks in large part to the work of zoos like Zoo Miami.
